FIA seeks highly motivated individuals to join our growing organization in the role of research analyst on our asset allocation team.  This role is critical to the company’s mission of delivering investment consulting services of the highest quality to its clients.  The research analyst resides at the center of the relationship, working directly with consultants and our investment management research group, in providing services to our clients.  The research analyst is responsible for providing analytical and research support to our consulting staff, with a focus on plan diagnostic analysis & benchmarking, vendor searches, portfolio construction, performance monitoring, and the preparation of client reports & special projects.  Interaction with custodian banks, other industry vendors, and senior members of our firm is required and encouraged.

Required Skills:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in the defined benefit/asset allocation marketplace
  • A general knowledge of investment markets
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including solid computer skills
  • An orientation to detail
  • The ability to work independently and to proactively seek out new responsibilities
  • The aptitude to work efficiently and accurately within tight deadlines
  • Solid interpersonal and presentation skills & adept at working well with other employees
  • Professional and effective verbal communication skills
